Barbara Ann Weir Stephens, 80, of Russell Springs – Laker Country 104.9 FM WJRS

Barbara Ann Weir Stephens, of Russell Springs, died on Sunday July 3, 2022 at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Center, Lexington. She was 80 years old.

Barbara was born May 13, 1942 in Hopkins County, the daughter of the late Charles Wallace and the late Macil Olear Parker Weir. She retired from Stephens Pipe and Steel as Accounts Payable Manager. Barbara loved her job and her friends at work. She was a British sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing bingo and doing crossword puzzles. Barbara was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Regina (and Rodney) Wright, of Russell Springs; his brother, Eugene Weir, of Galveston, Texas; his sisters, Connie (and Wes) Burgess, of Rantoul, Illinois, Brenda Osborne, of Madisonville, and Kaye (and Dale) Kessler, of Indiana; his step-granddaughter, Laura Beth (and Coty) McGowan; his step-great-grandson, Hunter McGowan; his brother-in-law, Gene McGregor, of Madisonville; a host of nieces and nephews; and her especially beloved pup, Chloe.

Along with her parents, Barbara is predeceased by her brother, Wayne Weir; and her sister, Dorothy McGregor.

Funeral services are held at noon, Thursday, July 7, 2022, at Bernard Ridge Cemetery, with Bro. Billy Silverman officiating. The bearers will be Rodney Wright, Coty McGowan, Terry Stephens, Brian Osborne, Brandon Osborne and Wes Burgess.
